Some of South Africa’s top referees will be on duty during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers early next month.
The qualifiers resume after one round of group matches were played last year and some interesting games are lined up.
Victor Gomes will be assisted by Zakhele Siwela, who was at the FIFA World Cup in Russia recently, and Johannes Moshidi as well as fourth official Thando Ndzandzeka for the match between Congo and Zimbabwe in Brazaville on September 9. The Group D clash will be played at Stade Alphonse Massamba Debat.
Bafana Bafana, meanwhile, will come up against Libya on September 8 at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The squad will meet up to start preparing for the match on September 2 and they will head to Durban the following day.
Stuart Baxter’s side are on three points in the group after their 2-0 victory over Nigeria in Uyo last year. He will be hoping they can continue where they left off.
