Orlando Pirates midfielder Musa Nyatama is looking forward to returning to his old stomping ground as he stresses the importance of bouncing back against Bloemfontein Celtic.

Nyatama is set to revisit his old home when The Buccaneers take on Phunya Sele Sele at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Pirates come off back-to-back defeats in the MTN8 to SuperSport United last weekend, as well as in the Absa Premiership against Bidvest Wits in midweek, and will be desperate to make up for this with the club’s supporters.

For Nyatama, rather than dwelling on the usual emotion of wanting to prove a point over his former employers, the reigning Bucs Player of the Season is instead excited to help his team get back to winning ways against Celtic.

“For the game on Sunday, I’m quite ready for it. Playing for Orlando Pirates, we have to give 120 percent in each and every game,” said Nyatama.

“It’s one of those games whereby we know we need to bounce back and the pressure is on us. But the league is a marathon, it’s a long race. It’s not a 100m [sprint].

“But we still have to win the first round of games because we know last season we didn’t start off well, and we want to change that this season.”
