SuperSport United sweat over veteran defender Clayton Daniels

SuperSport United are sweating over the availability of defender Clayton Daniels ahead of tomorrow's league clash with log leaders Bidvest Wits.

Daniels was forced off the park with an injury in the club's MTN8 quarter-final win over Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium last weekend.

"Well, it doesn't look too bad," Daniels told KickOff.com at the beginning of the week when asked about the knock.

"But I'm still going to see our doctor soon then check it out again. It's shoulder and arm. Well he said it's a strain and it's bruised. The doc said it should be fine in the next couple of days."

This website contacted Daniels again today for an update. He said: "We'll do a fitness test today then coach [Kaitano Tembo] will decide."

Matsatsantsa, who have three points from two league games, will collide with Wits at Bidvest Stadium at 20h15 on Saturday.

The Clever Boys have a perfect nine points from three matches.
