Bidvest Wits are currently assessing Jomo Cosmos' number one goalkeeper King Ndlovu, who is also in the sights of Black Leopards.
Ndlovu, who has been training with the Clever Boys for a week now, says he is waiting for the Braamfontein-based side to make a decision on his trial.
Wits have just bolstered their goalkeeping ranks by bringing in Ricardo Goss from Real Kings - bringing extra competition to Darren Keet, new signing Brighton Mhlongo and Sanele Tshabalala.
Ndlovu was recently placed on Cosmos' transfer list at his request. The Mamelodi Sundowns development product played 32 matches in all competitions for Ezenkosi last season, which includes the play-offs.
"It's the money issues," Ndlovu told KickOff.com when asked why he wants to leave Jomo Sono's club.
"Just money issues. So I don't know, the team decided 'you know what, let's put you on transfer'. Then I said, 'No, it's fine'. You know what's been going on at the club. I heard Jomo talking about Black Leopards but I'm not sure ... And maybe Wits I don't know. I'm not sure. I must go there for an assessment. In fact I'm already training with Wits. I think I already have a week training with the team. So I don't know, they must make a decision now whether they are buying me or I'm staying at Cosmos.
"I can also go to Black Leopards but they have to buy me first you know. I can go anywhere where they can buy me. I don't know if Black Leopards are willing to purchase ... but mina I'm ready to go there any time."
Leopards head coach Joel Masutha says he would welcome Ndlovu with open arms at his club.
"If he is available then no problem," Masutha says.
"We are talking, a lot. You know I'm very close to most players. Even Jomo, we did talk to him about the player. Jomo didn't have a problem, he told me the two clubs needs to talk about this for anything to happen. He [Ndlovu] is not here yet but yena he really wants to join us this boy. But since he has a contract the clubs must negotiate first.
"As of now we have two goalkeepers, so obviously we will need one addition so that at least we have three. The other two are still very young. They will play in the MDC, they will not help us. We got four actually, two for PSL, two for MDC. At least if we can have three in the PSL they will compete for a number one spot. Because if there are only two they will relax knowing that no matter what they will be in the 18. So there is no competition there. But if there are three, no one will want to be left behind."
