UEFA reveal 11 nominees for 2017/18 Goal Of The Year with Cristiano Ronaldo overhead-kick included

Posted: 14 August 2018 Time: 15:00

Gareth Bale's wonder strike in the UEFA Champions League final triumph against Liverpool was snubbed for the UEFA Goal Of The Year award while Cristiano Ronaldo made the list of nominees.

The 11 nominees were selected by UEFA's Technical Observers and Ronaldo's iconic overhead strike against Juventus, the club he joined this season, made the cut.

However, Bale, who scored a similar effort in the Champions League final win over the Reds failed to break into the 11 final nominations.

The winner of the award will be selected by the public with the deadline ending on Monday 27 August.

Have a look at the 11 nominees in the video below and submit your vote here.
