Kaizer Chiefs have been boosted by the return of goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, but coach Giovanni Solinas is yet to decide on whether he will play against Baroka.
Khune, who missed out on Amakhosi's 3-0 victory over Free State Stars on the weekend, has returned to the side for the Absa Premiership clash against Bakgaga tonight.
The Bafana Bafana shot-stopper had been granted leave of absence after his partner Sbahle Mpisane was involved in a serious car accident and admitted to hospital last week.
According to reports, Mpisane remains under observation in a hospital in Durban, but Chiefs have since confirmed Khune's return to duty as well as his presence in camp for this evening's match in Polokwane.
"Itumeleng Khune has returned from leave to attend to a private matter, while Brylon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma have also travelled to Polokwane," read a statement on the club's website.
New 'keeper Virgil Vries stood in for Khune against Ea Lla Koto, but has unfortunately been ruled out for the next two weeks with a knee ligament injury.
Meanwhile, Solinas has welcomed the availability of 'Itu' but indicated that a final decision has yet to be taken on whether he will play.
“We have three goalkeepers in camp. We will mull about the selection of the goalkeeper, but it’s good to see that Khune is back in camp and available for selection,” he said.
The reigning Absa Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season has yet to keep a clean sheet this season, having conceded four goals in two matches thus far.
Kick-off at the Peter Mokaba Stadium is scheduled for 19h30.
