Zakri was set to join the Team of Choice together with Keletso Makgalwa, as part of deal that saw Lebohang Maboe joining reigning Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Maboe has already played two games for the Brazilians and scored on his full debut against Polokwane City on Tuesday.

Despite reports suggesting that the Ivorian striker is having visa problems, which is why he is yet to be unveiled by the club, the player was spotted in Johannesburg on Friday.

"There were discussions between Sundowns and Maritzburg United, but nothing was agreed between the player and Maritzburg. The player was surprised that has been sold to Maritzburg. He is currently in Johannesburg and is set to meet with Sundowns to discuss his future.”
