Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes Ivorian Yannick Zakri will do well at Maritzburg United.
Zakri has joined the Team of Choice for the season on loan, as Sundowns have already filled their foreign quota for the season.
The speedy Ivorian was loaned out to Ajax Cape Town for the second half of last season and did pretty well for the club, despite them being relegated at the end of the campaign.
Zakri will be joined by his Sundowns teammate Keletso Makgalwa at Maritzburg, as part of the deal for Lebohang Maboe to go in the opposite direction. Maboe has already made a good impression at Sundowns, scoring in the side’s 2-0 Absa Premiership victory over Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday.
The Team of Choice will be hoping for the same with Zakri.
“Zakri adjusted well [at Sundowns]. When you have Zakri you must understand the way he plays. When you have him, you must use him the way he is effective and I think at Maritzburg he will do a great job because he has [Andrea] Fileccia. I think that’s the right player for them,” Mosimane told the media on Wednesday.
