Polokwane City coach Jozef Vukuzic says the quality of Mamelodi Sundowns proved too much

Polokwane City coach Jozef Vukuzic says Mamelodi Sundowns' quality was too much for his side on the night.

Rise and Shine went down 2-0 to the Absa Premiership champions on Tuesday evening, which was their second successive loss after going down 1-0 to Black Leopards in their opening game.

The Polokwane coach was not too pleased with the way his side conceded the two goals.

“I have to congratulate our opponent for the win. I think we played well. We had big opportunities to score before halftime,”Vukuzic told SuperSport TV after the match.

“We conceded a soft goal on a set-piece and they were difficult for us. We tried everything. In the second half we became more offensive. The second goal was also very easy.

“It was tough for us because after the second goal they were playing for a result, they showed the experience. I think they showed us their quality. We played some youngsters in the team, three or four, I’m confident that our rewards will come."
