Bidvest Wits winger Deon Hotto insists he just stuck to the basics after being named Man of the Match in the win over Kaizer Chiefs.
Hotto scored for the second successive match as Wits maintained top spot with a 3-1 win over the Soweto giants on Tuesday evening.
Hotto, however, remained humbled when accepting his Man of the Match accoladed after the game.
“I’m just sticking to basics. I’m just doing what I was doing throughout the pre-season," Hotto told SuperSport TV.
“I’m doing what the coach is telling me to do and adding in my own style and ideas.”
Hotto also went on to explain why he chose to join the Clever Boys at the start of the 2018/19 campaign with a number of suiters after him.
“The reason why I chose Bidvest Wits is because there is a group of players with a lot of medals and cups. I’m looking forward to being a part of them,” added the midfielder.
“I’m just taking this step-by-step.”
