Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas believes he knows what to expect when his side face Bidvest Wits in the Absa Premiership meeting this evening.

Amakhosi are set to play host to The Clever Boys in their first encounter at home of the 2018/19 season on Tuesday evening (19h30).

Following an interesting opening round of fixtures, Chiefs will be determined to build on their performance from the past weekend's draw with reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

With Wits currently top of the standings after registering a 3-0 win of over Free State Stars, Solinas says he is fully aware of the threat Gavin Hunt's men could pose.

“Wits have a competitive side with a fighting spirit. They are a typical Gavin Hunt-coached team, having some good players who play with determination,” Solinas outlined on his club's website.

“We come from a tough match [against Sundowns], and the match against Wits will be no different. It’s going to be a tough one for both sides.

"We won’t change much, as we always play our football and keep to our philosophy. We will exploit their weaknesses."

Having arrived at Naturena just over three weeks ago, the Italian tactician is delighted with the sort of responses he has witnessed from the players in training thus far.

"I am extremely happy to see my players putting so much effort in training. We will field the best team to play on the day," he concluded.

Tonight's match will be staged at the FNB Stadium, with tickets on at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide at R40, and Chiefs have advised that "parking will be for free".
