Bloemfontein Celtic could have a new owner to save them from financial trouble

Posted: 5 August 2018 Time: 09:52

Sinki Leshabane could be named as the new owner of Bloemfontein Celtic.

Celtic has been put on sale by club owner Max Tshabalala due to financial problems.

Siwelele's players are yet to receive their salaries from last month, while others are still owed signing-on fees from last season.

The South African Football Players’ Union has stepped in to try resolve the matter of non-payment to players.

Tshabalala is set to hand the team to a new owner next week believed to Leshabane, who currently owns ABC Motsepe League outfit Mangaung United FC.

“The deal is close from being finalised,” said a source.

“Sinki Leshabane has been touted as the candidate to take ownership of the club,” he added.
