Demoralised Bidvest Wits midfielder Phumlani Ntshangase is hoping he can at least secure a loan move away from the club this season.
Ntshangase, who has two years left on his contract at Wits, is training with the reserve team as he is not in the plans of head coach Gavin Hunt.
"I am currently not training with the senior team. I was told I was not in the coach's plans," Ntshangase tells KickOff.com.
"Things are not looking good but hopefully I can get a team where at least I can go on loan before the end of the month.
"It's been two to three weeks waiting but hopefully something positive will happen before the end of August."
The 23-year-old admits his spirits are low at Sturrock Park, having initially wanted to regain Hunt's favour after being limited to 16 appearances in all competitions last term.
"I can tell you it's not good. I am demoralised, I am disappointed.
"When the pre-season started I told myself I want to push hard. I was looking forward to working hard and competing in the new season. But I guess I am learning the other side of football."
