Mamelodi Sundowns sign Lebohang Maboe from Maritzburg United

Posted: 3 August 2018 Time: 07:05

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana midfielder Lebohang Maboe ahead of the 2018/19 season.

As reported by KickOff.com, Maboe has completed his switch to The Brazilians after departing Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.

The 23-year-old attacker had a starring season for the Team of Choice last term as he bagged the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player as well as Player of the Tournament awards at the PSL's prize-giving in May.

Maboe's impressive showing saw him earn his senior national team bow when he featured at the 2018 COSAFA Cup in Limpopo in May, before later scoring a brace in the Plate semi-final in June.

He becomes Sundowns' fifth first team signing of the current transfer window, following the arrival of Lyle Lakay, Andile Jali, Toni Silva and Jose Ali Meza.
