Onyango expects same Chiefs side

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango does not expect many changes from Kaizer Chiefs, despite them having a new coach.
Giovanni Solinas was finally granted a work permit earlier this week and will sit on the Amakhosi bench for the first time since he was announced as coach last month.
Patrick Mabedi was on the bench as caretaker coach for all of the Soweto giants’ pre-season matches, but Onyango feels that Solinas had an influence in the way the side played in their various encounters.
Sundowns played Chiefs in the Shell Helix Cup just two days after Solinas was confirmed as Amakhosi coach.
“I don’t think they have anything different that they are going to change, because the coach was there when we played them, it’s just that he was not on the bench,” Onyango tells KickOff.com.
“They have the same players, same players, but they might have a different fighting spirit when they come to us and we should be prepared for that because it [a win] is not going to come easy. They don’t want to lose to us, we don’t want to lose to them and it should be a fight. It’s going to be a very good game.”
Onyango will have the tough job of trying to keep out his former teammates Khama Billiat and Leonardo Castro.
