The Uganda and KCCA striker is currently training with Pirates with the hopes of winning the favour of Buccaneers mentor Milutin Sredojevic.

While Mutebi has steered clear of commenting on Shaban's assessment, he says the forward is a quality player.

"I don't want to comment on the issue [of trials]. The right people to speak to is the management," Mutebi tells from Kampala.

"But I can tell you he is a very good striker. He is very dangerous in the box. He can also create chances. He has speed. I believe if given a chance he can make it in the PSL."

Bucs have the likes of Thamsanqa Gabuza and Zambian duo Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga as options upfront for the new season, with the club yesterday announcing they have hired a 'specialist coach for finishing' in Frenchman Stéphane Adam.
