Harit sentenced after fatal crash

Morocco international Amine Harit has been sentenced to a four-month suspended sentence after being involved in a fatal car crash.
News surfacing in local Moroccan media revealed the sentence after the Schalke midfielder fatally injured a pedestrian in an accident in Marrakech after the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
As well as probation, the 21-year-old will also have to pay a fine of the equivalent of €780 (R12,058).
Harit was initially released by police pending an investigation, although his passport was seized, and he was only allowed to return to Germany on July 6.
According to Spiegel Online, the former Nantes player could face involuntary homicide charges.
