Orlando Pirates striker Augustine Mulenga has refused to put himself under pressure as he set a modest personal target as far as goals are concerned for the upcoming season.
Mulenga, who joined Pirates midway through last season, has already been tipped by many to gun for the Absa Premiership Golden Boot award.
Despite bagging three goals in only six league appearances last term, the Zambian international is refusing to place pressure on himself as far as his personal target is concerned.
The 28-year-old, who was on form at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco where he scored three goals in four games for Chipolopolo, has set a modest target of achieving double figures in his first full season in the PSL.
"This coming season, I know that the fans are going to expect a lot from me. What I can say is that I'm not putting pressure on myself because I know what they want," said Mulenga.
"What I can do is just to work hard, push and do what I can because I've got qualities and I can deliver anything, so I'm not under pressure.
"My target this year is that I want to score more than 10 goals - that's what I can say, I can't promise much, but more than 10 goals."
Asked if this target is based on his experience thus far of the country's level of football, the burly forward reacted: "I can't say that I'll score 15 or 20 [goals], I just want more than 10.
"I know how the South African league is now, and Justin [Shonga] is the one who has helped me adapt fast. I know the guys because most of the time we analyse the teams, so I can say that I know them."
