The KwaZulu-Natal Premiers Cup kicked off on Saturday, with three quarter-finals taking place at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
Uthongathi 1-2 Real Kings
The first clash took place on Saturday morning between the lower-tier sides, and it was Kings walking away victorious with a goal in either half to set up a semi-final berth with AmaZulu on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Richards Bay were held to a 2-2 draw by Royal Eagles at the same Princess Magogo Stadium in the second encounter.
Maritzburg United 0-1 Golden Arrows
Arrows started promisingly and were the more adventurous side in the opening 10 minutes of the game.
A few half-chances for Knox Mutizwa, Lerato Lamola and Limbikani Mzava was the closest it got for them.
Eventually the ice was broken albeit from 12 yards as Siboniso Conco lined up to make no mistake sending the keeper the wrong way.
Maritzburg searched for the equaliser towards the end of the first half, but to no avail. Whilst in the second stanza, the lack of attacking interplay handed Abafana Bes'thende the win.
