A place at the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations is just one step away after Amajimbos reached the COSAFA U-17 Championship final on Friday.
South Africa's U-17 men's team shrugged off a challenge from tournament hosts Mauritius with a 2-0 semi-final victory at the St Francois Xavier in Port Louis.
Alex Black Aces striker Motlhalosi Nare opened the scoring midway through the first half, before Stars of Africa academy defender Siphiwe Nkabinde struck the crossbar minutes later.
Molefi Ntseki's side looked fully in control of proceedings as they kept the home side at bay, before turning up the pressure in the second stanza.
It finally paid off as an attack in the dying minutes of the game forced an error at the back with a Mauritian defender knocking the ball into his own net to send Amajimbos through.
They now await the winner of the second semi-final between Namibia and Angola to learn who they will be up against in Sunday's final.
The overall winner of the regional tournament will automatically earn their place at next year's U-17 AFCON to be hosted in Tanzania from 12-26 May.
