Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of midfielder Issa Sarr.
Sarr has departed the Ghost Ship after four years at the club which he joined from Platinum Stars in 2014.
This after the Senegalese defensive midfielder was reduced to a bit-part role under coach Milutin Sredojevic, who steered The Buccaneers to a respectable second-place finish last season.
The club have since bade farewell to the 31-year-old, while commending his character and zest shown during his stay.
"Following four wonderful seasons, midfielder Issa Sarr has left Orlando Pirates Football Club," the club confirmed through a statement.
"Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation of Sarr during his stay at the club. This is a player who – at all times – displayed high levels of professionalism and discipline.
"The club will remain forever grateful for his contribution and wish him nothing but the very best in his future endeavours."
