Mamelodi Sundowns have called on their supporters to come in numbers to support them in their crucial CAF Champions League Group C match against AS Togo-Port on Friday.

The match, Sundowns’ fourth in the round robin phase, will be played at Lucas Moripe Stadium (21h00) and the 2016 champions cannot afford to slip up.

Free entry will be granted to those who attend the match in Sundowns apparel, while it will be half price for everyone else.

Sundowns spokesperson Thulani Thuswa says they need all the support they can get in the must-win encounter.

“It will be free for those dressed in Sundowns clothes. And then it will be half price for everyone else. We urge fans to get tickets and come to the stadium to support the team in this crucial game. It’s a do-or-die for us, so we need the backing of our supporters.”

Sundowns are bottom of Group C on two points, following their draws with defending champions Wydad Casablanca and Horoya, and their 1-0 defeat to Togo-Port last week.

They have two home matches left, including tomorrow’s encounter, so they have to make sure that they win those matches.

The former champions have risen to the occasion in pressure situations, so they can get through the challenge that lies ahead of them.
