Musa Nyatama scoops the major honours at Orlando Pirates' end-of-season awards gala

Musa Nyatama was the big winner on the night as Orlando Pirates moved to honour their players' efforts in 2017/18 during the Soweto giants' belated end-of-season awards ceremony.

The Buccaneers were unable to reel in any silverware last term but still showed signs of promise after finishing as runners-up in the Absa Premiership.

With renewed inspiration and another crack at CAF Champions League football next season, the Bucs were able to celebrate their successes at the awards event in Rivonia, Johannesburg.

Nyatama walked away with the three biggest accolades of the evening, including Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season.

Fans' Player of the Season: Musa Nyatama

Prospect of the Season: Innocent Maela

Goal of the Season: Augustine Mulenga

Golden Boot: Luvuyo Memela (five goals)

Golden Glove: Wayne Sandilands (five clean sheets)

Chairman's Award: Happy Jele

Development Player of the Season: Augustine Mahlonoko

Reserves Player of the Season: Samuel Nkomo
