National Under-20 coach Thabo Senong says he has a clean bill of health heading into the second leg of their 2019 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi.

Amajita leave for Malawi today and will play their second leg tie in Blantyre on Saturday, as they look to book themselves a spot in next year’s Cup of Nations in Niger.

The first leg finished goalless at Moruleng Stadium on Sunday and now Amajita have it all to do to qualify for the competition. The winner will qualify for the tournament, which will be played from February 24 to March 10.

“The camp is looking good and there are no injuries. We are looking forward to the second leg in Malawi and you can see that if we keep the discipline, the shape and make sure we don’t concede there, then we can win the game,” Senong said after the team’s final training session in South Africa on Wednesday.

“I have no doubt we should get a goal or two, but definitely we must not concede,” he added.

Amajita will have a couple of training sessions in Blantyre to get used to the conditions.

“We are going to train twice in Malawi, on Thursday and Friday, just for adaptation reasons and then we will play the game on Saturday.”
