Orlando Pirates concluded their pre-season camp in Zambia on a positive note, beating Forest Rangers 2-0 in Ndola on Wednesday.

Pirates prevailed thanks to goals either side of the break from recently promoted academy product Zakhele Lepasa and fellow striker Thamsanqa Gabuza at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Bucs afterwards contested a further 45 minutes with Gomes FC, scoring three unanswered goals via Lepasa, Diamond Thopola and Augustine Mulenga.

The Buccaneers also played friendlies with Congolese giants TP Mazembe and Power Dynamos on the trip as they build up for their return to the CAF Champions League in 2018/19.

Besides fine-tuning a squad bolstered by nine new signings in June, head coach Milutin Sredojevic and his assistant Rhulani Mokwena also assessed Brazilian centre-back Caio Marcelo, who has reportedly impressed the Soweto giants
