Mahlambi on the move?

Phakamani Mahlambi's future remains uncertain at Egyptian giants Al-Ahly amid rumours linking the Bafana Bafana international to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mahlambi was left out of the Ahly side that thumped visiting Township Rollers 3-0 on Tuesday in a CAF Champions League clash at Borg Elarab Stadium.

His agent Glyn Binkin was coy when asked if the former Bidvest Wits attacker could move on from the record eight-time kings of Africa.

"Maybe yes, maybe no," was all Binkin would say on the matter.

Mahlambi scored once and provided five assists in 15 appearances in 2017/18, having joined the Red Devils in September 2017 from the Clever Boys.

Ahly's win over Botswana's Rollers came via goals from Walid Azaro, Nabil Maaloul and Islam Mohareb, and lifted them to second in Group A with four points from three games - three points behind Esperance.
