Eymael approaching keeper clarity

Posted: 17 July 2018 Time: 18:30

Free State Stars are still trying to secure the services of Thela Ngobeni from Mamelodi Sundowns as they continue to assess fellow goalkeeper Dino Visser.

Ngobeni's future remains uncertain since returning to parent club Sundowns following a loan spell at Ea Lla Koto last term.

He is hungry for first team football, but faces stern competition for game-time at Downs from the likes of experienced internationals Denis Onyango and Kennedy Mweene.

While Stars retain hope of bringing Ngobeni back to Bethlehem, coach Luc Eymael is preparing to make a decision on trialist Visser, who left Platinum Stars [now called Cape Umoya United] following the club's relegation from the Absa Premiership at the end of 2017/18.

"He is training with us," Eymael says of Visser.

"We hope to make a decision on him soon."

The Belgian needs someone to push first-choice gloveman Badra Ali Sangare.
