Maritzburg United right-back Pogiso Sanoka is itching to achieve greater things with the club in the new season.
Maritzburg enjoyed their finest PSL campaign last term, finishing a record fourth in the league and reaching a maiden cup final where they lost to Free State Stars in the Nedbank Cup decider.
Fadlu Davids' side also registered the club’s biggest win, a 4-0 rout of Bloemfontein Celtic, which surpassed their 4-1 defeat of SuperSport United in 2014.
Aside from that, Siphesihle Ndlovu became the first player at the club to win the PSL Player of the Month award in February before making further history by claiming the PSL Young Player of the Season and Midfielder of the Season accolades.
"This season I want to reach many things. I want to score eight goals and I can't wait to get started," Sanoka tells KickOff.com.
"We want to make this season bigger, we want to dominate teams even if we are playing away.
"We just want to keep on playing nice football and it is one of the things we want to improve. We still have the same team that competed last season and the understanding is very high.
"We gained some experience playing in the final, so it is just a matter of consistency and bettering what we did last season."
Sanoka scored three league goals last term all in KwaZulu-Natal, with one at KwaMashu's Princess Magogo Stadium as hosts Cape Town City moved the match to Durban due to a drought in the Cape.
"Maybe because of the support we get at home," he says with a laugh when asked about only scoring on familiar turf.
"You are absolutely correct, all my goals I scored were home games but this season I want to do it home and away."
