Pitso Mosimane and his troops are scheduled to play AS Togo-Port in their third Group C tie on July 17 when the continental showpiece resumes after the FIFA World Cup ends.

According to Arendse, Sundowns - who trail pool leaders Wydad Casablanca and Horoya by two points after two matches - fancy their chances against Togo-Port, who prop up the group following back-to-back defeats.

“It’s a matter of going there all guns blazing and securing maximum points,” the 33-year-old tells KickOff.com.

“We’re aware that it’s an away game, which are never easy for obvious reasons but that’s the last thing on our minds.”

The former Santos centre-back, who won the Champions League with Downs in 2016, says their preparations has gone well and everyone is raring to go.

Arendse explains: “Yeah, I think the guys are ready. Ready to go because this one is gonna be crucial for us because irrespective what happens between Wydad and the other team [Horoya], we’ll still finish second in the group if we win our match. That’s why we are fully focused and very determined.

“It’s not automatic qualification as yet but a win will take us a good step closer going forward, because after this game in Togo we have two home games which count in our favour.

“That’s why a win is crucial in the bigger scheme of things. And like I said we need to go all guns blazing as we normally do because we are very good in our home games.

“So, hopefully we’ll do well in Togo and that can set us up for the rest of the group games and also to qualify for the next round,” Arendse concludes.
