Mamelodi Sundowns are looking to jet off to Togo well ahead of time to acclimatise for their CAF Champions League clash next week.
The Brazilians are scheduled to play AS Togo-Port in their third Group C tie on Tuesday, July 17 as the continental action returns following the FIFA World Cup break.
The team is set to depart from Johannesburg on Thursday evening and arrive in Lomé on Friday, before commencing with training and familiarising themselves with their surroundings.
It is expected that Percy Tau will not travel with the squad after club boss Patrice Motsepe gave the all-clear for him to engage on personal terms with Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.
Downs are currently in the process of registering new signings Toni Silva and Jose Ali Meza with the Premier Soccer League before processing their CAF registration, and are in a race against time to have them join the squad in Togo.
Having played two games in the group stage thus far, Pitso Mosimane's troops are yet to register a victory and trail leaders Wydad Casablanca and Horoya by two points.
Togo-Port are currently rooted to the bottom of the group, having suffered back-to-back defeats in their two opening games.
The return fixture between the reigning Togolese champions, who won their first league title last year, and the eight-time Absa Premiership champions is scheduled for July 27.
Sundowns will also contest the inaugural Shell Helix Ultra Cup against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, July 21.
