Ajax Cape Town announce the departures of quartet

Posted: 9 July 2018 Time: 16:02

Ajax Cape Town have continued their pre-season exodus as they announced the departure of four more players.

The Urban Warriors are on a winter clearout and have parted ways with Roscoe Pietersen, Siboniso Gaxa, Justin Jacobus and Junaid Sait.

The ongoing Tendai Ndoro saga seems to be taking its toll on the Cape-based outfit, who have also released long-serving duo Travis Graham and Toriq Losper in recent days.

"Everyone at Ikamva would like to thank Roscoe, Justin, Siboniso and Junaid for their services to the club and wish them all the best in their future endeavours," read a statement on the club's website.

Ajax are at this point uncertain of where they will be plying their trade this coming season, after the South Gauteng High Court ruled in their favour last week.

SAFA Arbitrator William Mokhari previously banished the club to the National First Division with his ruling that led to seven points being docked from their tally for having played Ndoro in three disputed matches.

However, their successful court appeal now requires FIFA to have the final say, but the Premier Soccer League are set to appeal the ruling before taking it to the world football governing body.
