Chippa United eye Orlando Pirates' Thami Sangweni and ex-Kaizer Chiefs winger William Twala

Posted: 6 July 2018 Time: 19:30 has learnt that Chippa United are considering re-signing Orlando Pirates midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni and former Kaizer Chiefs winger William Twala.

Sangweni joined Pirates from Chippa at the beginning of last season, but has only managed three appearances for the Soweto giants amid heavy competition for game-time from the likes of Musa Nyatama and Xola Mlambo.

Chiefs released Twala - who spent the second half of 2017/18 on loan at Maritzburg United - in June as he only made 19 outings for Amakhosi following his arrival from Chippa two years ago.

According to a source close to the Chilli Boys, the club is in talks to bring the duo back to Port Elizabeth.

"There have been some talks with regards to both players," says the informant.

"Nothing is finalised yet."
