Arsene Wenger explains why 2018 FIFA World Cup starlet Kylian Mbappe will dominate world football

France wonderkid Kylian Mbappe has been tipped to develop as one of the players who 'dominate the world' by compatriot Arsene Wenger.

Mbappe, 19, has netted three goals and registered an assist in four games for the World Cup quarter-finalists.

Despite being a teenager, the Paris Saint-Germain forward who joined the club from AS Monaco in a €180m deal has already netted seven goals in 19 senior international caps - while finishing the 2017/18 with 21 goals and 16 assists over 44 games.

And Arsene Wenger believes his rapid progression with the Ligue 1 giants and Les Blues is a clear indication of where Mbappe is heading.

"Kylian attacked Argentina from the off," Wenger told ITV in reference to his devastating display in the last-16. "He was dangerous all match long and, when he was faced with a decision, he made it.

"Do not forget that Kylian is only 19 years old -- we do not realise what that means at this level. You need to take a step back to understand it. It is exceptional what he has achieved.

"When Kylian was 17 and playing for Monaco, his numbers were incredible. When the numbers are there at that age, it means that there is efficiency on top of very young talent -- this proves that he is part of the group of five or six top players that will soon dominate the world."
