Mamelodi Sundowns to visit Botswana for Township Rollers friendly

Mamelodi Sundowns will be in Botswana this weekend for a rematch of their pre-season friendly fixture played in Rustenburg last week against Township Rollers.

The Brazilians' fans in and around Gaborone will have a chance to see the team in action when they visit the National Stadium on Saturday (15h30) to square of with the hosts.

Rollers confirmed the fixture on their official social media pages on Wednesday afternoon, while also releasing ticket details.

The two sides faced off in Phokeng last weekend, with Sundowns walking away 3-0 victors as they prepare for the resumption of their CAF Champions League group stage campaign in two weeks.

While they spent a week in the North West upon their return to training last week, they will only jet into Botswana for the day to honour the fixture before returning to Chloorkop.

"Yes, we will be playing against Township Rollers again on Saturday. It's a one-day trip, so we will be back home the next day," Downs' media officer Thulani Thuswa confirms to

Pitso Mosimane's charges are currently third in Group C, having collected just two points from two games thus far, and will visit AS Togo-Port on July 17.
