Judge Denise Fisher rules in favour of Ajax Cape Town in Tendai Ndoro case

Posted: 2 July 2018 Time: 12:25

Judge Denise Fisher of the South Gauteng High Court has ruled in favour of Ajax Cape Town in the Tendai Ndoro matter.

Judge Fisher had initially reserved her judgement to overlook the facts and arguments of the matter, before announcing her verdict in court on Monday.

The court has thus set aside the ruling of SAFA Arbitrator William Mokhari, which saw Ajax docked seven points and subsequently relegated from the Absa Premiership, while deeming the recently completed PSL promotion/relegation play-offs null and void, which were won by Black Leopards.

Judge Fisher also found that the eligibility of Ndoro remains undetermined, and therefore referred the matter to the FIFA Players' Status Committee.

As things stand, the Urban Warriors return to 15th place on the topflight table, with Platinum Stars to 16th, while AmaZulu regain eighth spot at the expense of SuperSport United.
