Smeda’s new club Gintra-Universitetas are the current Lithuanian champions and 14-time domestic league winners, and are involved in 2018/19 UEFA Women’s Champions League action, having been drawn in Group 9 alongside Bulgaria’s NSA Sofia, Finnish club FC Honka and Skala from the Faroe Islands.
