Jali will help Downs conquer Africa

Andile Jali will give Mamelodi Sundowns added value as they look to conquer Africa for a second time in just three years.
This is the view of former Sundowns left-back David Kannemeyer, who hailed the signing of the Bafana Bafana midfielder because of the experience he has gained from playing on the continent.
Jali, who started training with the reigning Absa Premiership champions on Monday, has been a Bafana regular for the last three years and was a key member of the Orlando Pirates side that reached the 2013 CAF Champions League final, only to lose to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
Sundowns will register the midfielder for the competition Sundowns won in 2016, as well as their other signing Toni Silva.
“I think it’s a good signing because he will add value. He has the talent and I think he will bring in something different to Sundowns. Coach Pitso is looking to conquer Africa again, so Jali can only add to the quality Sundowns already has,” Kannemeyer says.
“He has experience of playing on the African continent, so he will bring that experience to Sundowns.”
Kannemeyer feels the addition of Jali will give coach Pitso Mosimane a good selection headache in central midfield. He’ll have Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Tiyani Mabunda and captain Hlompho Kekana to choose from, while Lucky Mohomi remains an option.
“It’s always good for the coach and the team to have competition, because you always get the best out of players.”
