Free State Stars head coach Luc Eymael says Deon Hotto would rather play for fellow suitors Bidvest Wits.
The Namibian's two-year contract with neighbours Bloemfontein Celtic ends on June 30, and the Belgian tactician has made no secret of his intentions to bring him on board though so far he has proved elusive.
The versatile 27-year-old played 35 times for Siwelele this past season.
"Deon Hotto doesn't want to come here, he prefers to go to Bidvest Wits," Eymael tells KickOff.com.
"Ja you know it's not the same contract but it's okay I understand him on this matter, but I don't understand him in the sporting matter because we are playing the CAF Confederation Cup ... But it's okay, we know the players prefers big contracts than a good challenge.
"I don't say that Bidvest Wits is not a good challenge because it's a very good team, well organised, but they don't play CAF next season. It should have been better for him to come home but we will see because it's his own choice."
The player's representative Machini Motloung refused to comment on Eymael's claims.
