Antoine Griezmann reportedly fifth highest paid in world football after new Atletico Madrid deal

Antoine Griezmann will reportedly earn more than five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo once he signs his new contract, after declaring his loyalty towards Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann was widely tipped to leave Atleti this off-season, with FC Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all expressing interest in the France international.
However, before France 2018 World Cup campaign commenced, the 27-year-old declared his intention to remain with Diego Simeone's side - with a new lucrative contract now on offer.
Spanish publication AS have since revealed his new deal with Atleti will be worth €23m (R357m) a year.
According to according to beIN Sports correspondent Tancredi Palmeri, the prolific forward will earn more than Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United's Alexis Sanchez - while knocking Gareth Bale outside the top 10.
