Baroka FC have confirmed they have parted ways with no less than five players ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
Amongst those released are a former Kaizer Chiefs duo in striker Lewis Macha and defender Punch Masenamela.
Macha's fall from grace continues after he was released by Amakhosi one year after his arrival at the club in 2016. He spent just one season at Bakgaga.
The 26-year-old Zambian frontman only managed two goals in nine Absa Premiership appearances last season.
Masenamela, meanwhile, joined the club in February last year after being let go of by fellow Limpopo-based outfit Polokwane City, with whom he spent eight months after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns in 2015.
The 31-year-old made just 12 league appearances last term, falling out of favour in the second half of the campaign.
The others that have been offloaded are 30-year-old centre-back Mzwanele Mahashe, 31-year-old left-back Khutso Mohwatseleng and 25-year-old forward Rethabile Soso.
The club is expected to unveil their new coach Wedson Nyirenda as well as a host of new signings on Friday.
