Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali has become the latest soccer player to fall victim of a scam artist after his mobile phone was hacked.

Former Orlando Pirates star Jali, who is currently at home in Matatiele, Eastern Cape after rejecting a contract extension offer from Belgian side Oostende, found out this afternoon that his MTN cellphone number had been hacked.

Speaking in an interview with KickOff.com, Jali - who is believed to be set for a return to the PSL, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs said to be leading the race for his signature - has confirmed his mobile number has been hacked.

"Yes, it's true, my phone number has been hacked. I only found out this afternoon," Jali told this website.

"I have since reported the case. They (the police) are following up," he added.

SuperSport United midfielder Thabo Mnyamane was also a victim of a scam artist last week after his cellphone number was hacked whilst on holiday overseas.
