Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has reportedly been offered to FC Barcelona by his representatives who are now considering the deal as an alternative to Antoine Griezmann.
Despite the LaLiga champions confirming talks with Atletico Madrid and Antoine Griezmannm, the move has since stalled ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Spanish publication AS can reliably confirm that Salah's agent has approached the Blaugrana over a sensational switch to LaLiga after scoring a record 32 league goals in his debut season with the Reds.
Barca are said to be keen on securing the deal if their negotiation struggles with Atleti continue, while the lack of influence from Ousmane Dembele has prompted them to search for a prolific attacker to bolster their options.
The report further stated that Jurgen Klopp's side are willing to listen to offers in excess of €100m (R1.5b) as Lyon forward Nabil Fekir has already been earmarked as a potential replacement.
