Stuart Baxter’s charges fell into the plate section of the competition after they were knocked out of the tournament proper by Madagascar after losing 4-3 on penalties in the quarter-finals.

“I think we came back very strongly we knew that we lost our first game we had to show character coming into this game which I think we did very well hence we won the game,” Maboe told SuperSport TV.

Maboe, who was named Man of the Match, went on to say that he rued his missed chances after missing out on a hat-trick.

“I know. had I’ve been more composed I was going to score the third goal but it did not come. I’m just glad we did well as a team,” he concluded.
