FIFA World Cup countdown: 9 days to go for Russia 2018, KickOff.com features three #9 superstars

As we continue with our FIFA World Cup countdown, and with just nine days to go, KickOff.com looks at three of the best number 9's expected to set Russia 2018 alight.

With just nine days remaining before the global showpiece begins, our three featured number 9's are as followed.

1. Romelu Lukaku

Position: Striker

Nationality: Belgium

Age: 25

'Big Rom' enjoyed a scintillating debut season at Manchester United with career-best figures despite an enormous £75m price-tag to live up to.

However, his inclusion as a star number nine in this feature is based on his international record, the undisputed starter in Roberto Martinez star-studded squad has netted 33 goals in 67 caps.

As the countries all-time record goalscorer at the age of 25, Lukaku's dominating presence in Russia will be key to their World Cup aspirations.

2. Harry Kane

Position: Striker

Nationality: England

Age: 24

Another Premier League striker, who's arguably become one of Europe's most clinical forward's since establishing as Tottenham's attacking talisman.

England's new captain has scored 140 goals in just 213 games for Spurs since graduating from the club's academy and has been tasked to lead the new generation of the youthful Three Lions squad.

Courted by two of the world's biggest club's Real Madrid and Manchester United, Kane has scored 13 times in 24 appearances since making his senior national team debut in 2015.

3. Robert Lewandowski

Position: Striker

Nationality: Poland

Age: 29

Headling Poland's World Cup squad, the Bayern Munich striker recently announced his desire to move on for a new challenge at club level after scoring 151 goals in the last four seasons at the Bundesliga giants.

Also his countries all-time top scorer with 52 goals in 93 appearances, Lewandowski will be showcasing his talents in Russia in a bid to impress potential suitors even further.

In Group H alongside Senegal, Japan and Colombia, the Polish captain will be aiming to fire his side into the latter stages of the competition.
