Cape Town City chairman John Comitis has dismissed speculation linking Orlando Pirates winger Riyaad Norordien to his club.

"Nobody from our club has spoken to him as far as I know," Comitis tells KickOff.com.

"I heard the same thing from what's that guy called, Tshepo ... but this is definitely news to me."

Comitis says the Citizens already have ample attacking options out wide.

"Look, we have players like [Craig] Martin, [Allan] Kateregga, Lyle Lakay and even a player like [Surprise] Ralani that can operate in this position.

"So we have enough players that can fill this role, therefore Norodien's service would not be needed."

Cape Town-born Norordien ended the past season on loan at Platinum Stars, who were relegated to the National First Division via the play-offs.

The 23-year-old only made two starts for Bucs under coach Milutin Sredojevic before being sent to Dikwena.
