Jomo Cosmos owner and coach Jomo Sono has some advice for Black Leopards as Lidoda Duvha prepare for life in the topflight next season.

READ: 'Cosmos is the best bakery in town'

Leopards won promotion via the play-offs with a squad of promising players such as Phathutshedzo Nange, Marks Munyai, Karabo Tshepe, top scorer Mwape Musonda and Meshack Maphangule, who has confirmed to various media publications that he will be joining Orlando Pirates when pre-season gets underway.

Sono, however, feels that the squad Leopards have at the moment is not good enough to compete in the topflight, so they need to go out and reinforce, especially with clubs linked with some of the players in the team.

Leopards collected four points from Cosmos during the play-offs.

“They have to reinforce. They need to buy six or seven players,” Sono said.

“If they go to the Premier [Soccer] League with this team, they won’t win a game. It’s true. David [Thidiela] is my friend and I am telling the truth. He needs to get seven new players or nothing for sure.”

Cosmos, meanwhile, will have to go through another season in the First Division, hoping that next time they win automatic promotion, to avoid having to fight for a place in the topflight in the play-offs.
