Kermit Erasmus’s unbeaten streak continues in Sweden with AFC Eskilstuna

Posted: 5 June 2018 Time: 08:21

South African striker Kermit Erasmus continued his unbeaten streak with AFC Eskilstuna on Monday evening following their goalless draw against Jonkopings Sodra.

The 27-year-old, who signed for the Swedish Second Division club in March after a difficult spell in France, started his fifth game for his new club, playing for 81 minutes before being substituted in the team’s eventual 0-0 draw.

In seven appearances for the club, which includes two previous substitute appearances, Erasmus has yet to taste defeat in Sweden, having won four and drawn three of the seven games in which he has featured.

Eskilstuna missed a chance to go top of the standings following Monday night’s stalemate, as they now sit third on the log with 22 points after 11 games, two points adrift of leaders Falkenberg.

Erasmus, who has two league goals to his name thus far, will hope to earn himself his sixth starting berth in his side’s next fixture on Saturday, when Eskilstuna take on ninth-placed Landskrona.
