Mohamed Salah headlines Egypt final 23-man FIFA World Cup squad named by coach Hector Cuper

Mohamed Salah has been included in the final 23-man squad named by Egypt head coach Hector Cuper despite the injury he suffered in the UEFA Champions League final.
Salah, 25, was widely expected to miss out on the global showpiece after suffering a shoulder injury during the UEFA Champions League final defeat with Liverpool against Real Madrid last month.
However, the Reds superstar status of becoming one of Europe's most prolific forward's during the 2017/18 season has seen him included in the final cut by Cuper.
His 44 goals across all competitions were only bettered by FC Barcelona club-record goalscorer Lionel Messi.
Other notable exclusions are, SC Braga forward Ahmed Hassan Kouka who played an integral part in the Pharoes qualification process.
While goalkeeper Mohamed Awaad was excluded in favour of Al Ahly duo Mohamed El-Shennawy, Sherif Ekramy and veteran stopper Essam El-Hadary.
Of the 23 players selected, 13 are foreign-based while the rest of the team comprises of six Al Ahly players and four from Zamalek.
