Nigeria's Gernot Rohr cuts four players from 2018 FIFA World Cup squad ahead of England trip

Nigeria have trimmed four players from their provisional 30-man FIFA World Cup squad ahead of their friendly encounter with England on Saturday.
While rising star Moses Simon was expected to be sent home due to his untimely injury suffered in training, the Gent forward was surpringy informed to remain with the group.
The Super Eagles team spokesperson Toyin Ibitoye revealed to BBC Sport that Stephen Eze, Dele Ajiboye, Junior Lokosa and Uche Agbo have been ommitted from representing the country in Russia.
"It's tough because we can't take all the 30 players to the World Cup," Ibitoye said.
"They've been informed and they've thanked the coaching staff for the opportunity and promise to keep supporting their colleagues."
Rohr is expected to drop a further two players after the England fixture this weekend and confirm his final 23-man squad heading to the global showpiece.
