Jomo Cosmos' Kizito Obi gears up for promotion/relegation play-offs clash with Black Leopards

Jomo Cosmos midfielder Kizito Obi suspects their penultimate play-offs match with Black Leopards will prove decisive in their bid for promotion to the Absa Premiership.

Leopards top the play-offs standings with four points from two matches - two points ahead of Cosmos, and three clear of Platinum Stars.

Ezenkosi, who drew 0-0 with Stars in Moruleng in midweek, will visit Lidoda Duvha on May 30 before ending their campaign against Dikwena on June 2.

"I think we did well against Platinum Stars and could have taken all the points if we had been more clinical. We must keep the momentum going although it might come down to the wire," Obi told his club's website.

"The PSL spot is still within our grasp but to make that a reality we must redouble our efforts, particularly in our next game against Black Leopards, which could prove decisive.

“It won’t be easy playing against that big crowd in Thohoyandou, but with luck on our side we should achieve the desired result. Surely we should be able to decide our own destiny,” concluded the formerly Venezuela-based Nigerian, who was signed in January by Jomo Sono.
